Alternative Investment Management Association
- AIMA Trade association promoting the understanding and use
of alternative techniques in fund management, such as managed futures, hedge funds, currency management.
Club 3000 A network of commodity traders, founded in 1981 and in continuous operations since. Members
discuss all aspects of commodity trading, including, but not limited to trading systems and their performance,
mostly through members' articles in our newsletter, but also by telephone. The newsletter currently runs about
9,000 words per issue.
Committee on Options Proposals Industry group dedicated to the improvement of the listed options product.
Commodity Futures Trading Commission
- CFTC The agency protects market participants against manipulation,
abusive trade practices and fraud.
Futures Industry Association - FIA The only association representative of all organizations that have an interest
in the futures market. FIA has more than 200 corporate members reaching thousands of industry participants.
International Finance &
Commodities Institute - IFCI Non-profit foundation created with
the objective of promoting global understanding of commodity trading as well as financial futures and options.
International Swaps and Derivatives
Association - ISDA The leading global trade association representing
participants in the privately negotiated derivatives industry, a business which includes interest rate, currency,
commodity and equity swaps, as well as related products such as caps, collars, floors and swaptions.
Managed Futures Assocation - MFA The objective of the MFA is to enhance the image and understanding of the managed
funds industry, to further constructive dialogue with the regulators in pursuit of regulatory reform, and to improve
the communication with, and training of, the association’s members through effective conferences and communications
programs.
National Futures Association
- NFA Responsible for protecting the rights of investors in the
futures markets. To this end, we seek to ensure that the firms and individuals who trade futures with the public
are Members of NFA and that they adhere to the highest standards of professional and financial responsibility.
Options Industry Council
Swiss Commodities, Futures,
and Options Association - SCFOA Founded in 1979 as a non-profit
professional association for the purpose of promoting derivative financial instruments, particularly standard futures
and options contracts on financial instruments and commodities, to the widest possible audience, and to serve the
interests of its members.
